Seed Library Opening Day

Check out the seed library for the upcoming growing season, pick up seeds for your garden, or bring seeds that you saved from last fall. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bellaire Public Library is located at 111 S. Bridge St., Bellaire. For details call the library at 231-533-8814.

Early Spring Bird Walk 

An Early Spring Bird Walk will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14. The program marks the first walk in the spring birding series and will focus on identifying the season’s earliest returning birds by sight and sound. Binoculars will be available to borrow, or participants may bring their own. If snow remains on the ground, attendees are encouraged to bring snowshoes or rent a pair for an additional $5 at the Grass River Center. The cost is $10 per person.
