Old-Growth Forest Walk

Saturday, June 6, 2026 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm

An Old-Growth Forest Walk will be held Saturday, June 6, from 1-2:30 p.m. at Grass River Natural Area, 6500 Alden Highway, Bellaire. Leona Addie, Great Lakes regional manager for the Old-Growth Forest Network, will lead a presentation and hike focused on old-growth forests, including their characteristics, ecological importance and where they can be found. Participants also will learn how to become involved in forest conservation efforts. The program is free, though donations are welcome. Attendees are asked to RSVP to james@grassriver.org.
