Bellaire Public Schools will host a special K-12 Veterans Day Program in the high school gym beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 to honor veterans for their service. All veterans, current military personnel and the community are invited to attend. There will be a free hot breakfast after the assembly for all veterans and their families to enjoy.
Veterans and their families are invited to a free breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at the Iron Horse Café, North Central Michigan College’s cafeteria on the Petoskey Campus. NCMC’s Student Veterans Association and Chase Bank are sponsoring the event to show appreciation to local veterans and their families. No reservations are necessary.
The Central Lake United Methodist Church will hold its last Swiss Steak Dinner of the season on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 p.m. (or until the food is gone). The dinner includes: steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, roll, coleslaw, vegetable, homemade pies, coffee and lemonade. Cost is $15/adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12, and free for those under 5. Take-out meals will be available.

The annual Chain O’Lakes Sportsman’s Club Sight-In Days program will continue daily through Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The club will provide targets (first one free), spotting scopes and experienced instructors to assist hunters. Cost is $5 per gun.
