The Chain O’Lakes Sportsman’s Club will be holding a Ladies Only Gun Class on Saturday, July 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the club. Learn how to handle, shoot and clean your gun. Pre-registration is required. The cost is $50 due by Monday, July 5 and you must be 18 years old to attend. Bring your own gun and ammunition and eye and ear protection.
Chain of Lakes Auto Body and Keiser Collision & Auto Body will be hosting a community appreciation cruise-in on Wednesday, July 7 from 4-7 p.m. at 642 Willow Dr, Bellaire. Shine up your cruiser and show them off. All vehicles, cars, trucks, bikes are welcome.
Central Lake will be holding its Fourth of July events on Sunday, July 4 beginning with an ice cream social at noon at the First Congregational Church. The parade begins at 1 p.m. in downtown heading south to north. The Central Lake Lions Club chicken BBQ is at Thurston Park right after the parade. There will also be a beer tent from 2-8 p.m.

The Elk Rapids Harbor Commission is sponsoring a Free 2021 Fishing Expo on Wednesday, June 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the Elk Rapids Harbor parking lot. This is a family fun event for all ages. There will be local fishing experts on hand, free refreshments free grab bags, door prize drawing at 6:45 p.m. Must be present to win.
The Williamsburg United Methodist Church will host a drive thru Strawberry Social and Online Auction on Saturday, June 26 from 3:30-7 p.m. at the church located at 5750 Willliamsburg Road, one block south of M-72. The cost is by donation. The menu will include fresh strawberries, homemade biscuits and Moomers ice cream.

The Alden District Library will be holding a kids’ crafts and preschool story hour on Thursday, June 24 from 10-11 a.m. free of charge. The kids’ crafts are for ages 6-12 years. Learn about diffusion and create art at the same time. The preschool story hour is for two years or older.

Art Rapids 2021 Arts and Cultural Events have announced its first Concert in the Park this season on Friday, June 18. Florina Petrescu, a professional violinist, will perform at the Elk Rapids Day Park in the Deborah Wentworth Pavilion at 920 South Bayshore Drive at 7 p.m.

Her performance will include well-known classical pieces, modern pp, rock songs, Broadway and Disney tunes. Admission is free. A donation box to Art Rapids will be on site. Performance is weather permitting.
