The Central Lake United Methodist Church is having a swiss steak dinner on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. Please pre-order by Thursday, Sept. 9 to reserve your dinners. The church will only be able to serve drive-up orders after pre-orders are filled by texting 231-676-2989 or messaging 231-544-6314 and leave your name, number of dinners and phone number.
The annual Cry Out America Prayer gathering will take place at the front entrance of the Kalkaska County Courthouse, 605 N. Birch St on Saturday, Sept. 11 at noon. Many of the community churches will be participating in this event as we gather to pray for the nation. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate with us in prayer.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 the Central Lake District Library will have a memorial poster walk on the lawn of the library starting Wednesday, Sept. 1 thru Monday, Sept. 13 day and night. The educational exhibition recounts the events of Sept. 11, 2001, through the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks.
