The Antrim County Community Choir is back with its holiday concert “Music for the Season: It’s About Time!”. The concert will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. at Church in the Hills, 6401 Shanty Creek Road in Bellaire. Masks are requested for those who are not fully vaccinated.
The Bellaire Rotary Club will be having a can and bottle drive on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 4Front Credit Union in Bellaire at the ATM location. If anyone has returnables and would like the someone from the Rotary Club to pick them up contact 231-377-2002. All proceeds to benefit Bellaire Rotary’s Good Works Programs.
The Central Lake Chamber of Commerce will be having its annual window Night on Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Central Lake. Santa will arrive at 5:15 p.m. and the tree lighting will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Alden State Bank. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting children at the Pavilion following the tree lighting.
The Antrim County Community Choir’s Susie Hutchings Memorial Music Scholarship is open to any music student from middle school to college. The scholarship funds can be used for lessons, music camps or college tuition. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, Dec.

Wagbo Farm and Education Center will be having a Wild Christmas Tree Hunt and Wreath Making activities on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 27 and 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Alden will be having its Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Alden Village Center. Santa will be arriving and refreshments will be served. There will also be tree lighting, caroling and treats for the kids.
The Antrim Ski Academy will be holding its 26th annual equipment and clothing sale on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom in The Lakeview Hotel at Summit Village at Shanty Creek. This sale will feature new and used ski and snowboard equipment and clothing.
Bachmann’s Store in downtown Central will be starting the annual toy drive on Wednesday, Dec.1. The local toy drive along with the Central Lake Chamber of Commerce will benefit the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Adams Madams is collecting food, toys, litter, beds, etc. for furry friends in the shelters and foster homes. Drop off starts on Wednesday, Dec. 1 thru Saturday, Dec. 25. Adams Madams will be open late on Central Lake’s Window Night.

The Antrim County Sheriff’s Department Victims Services Unit will meet on Monday, November 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Central Lake. This unit provides immediate on-scene support for any surviving, secondary victims of an unexpected death or serious trauma. A two person team of volunteers is available 24/7, 365 days a year.
On Saturday, November 13 is Family Day with McDonalds handing out muffins and coffee from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. See live reindeer from “Antler Ridge Farm” in the back of the building from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Holiday music. Letters to Santa will be available each day of the Festival.
