Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources (KAIR) Festival of Trees is being held starting on Friday, Nov. 12 through Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Northland Plaza from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Over 40 trees, gift baskets and other raffle items will be available by purchasing raffle tickets. This is a free event for the festival.
The Kalkaska County Commission on Aging (COA) is hosting a Veterans Day luncheon Thursday, Nov. 11. In order to promote social distancing space, this year’s program will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church located at 815 W. Dresden St. (Across from the Kalkaska Middle School gym parking lot.) A program honoring veterans and featuring a flag ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
As it was last year due to pandemic issues, the annual Veterans Day Remembrance luncheon sponsored by the Antrim County Commission on Aging and Area Seniors, Inc. will be a drive through event and will be held at the Bellaire Senior Center on Wednesday, Nov. 10 with curbside service only from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Reservations are required by Nov.
The Central Lake Fire & Rescue Auxiliary will be hosting its annual Crockpot Chili Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the fire station on M88 from 5-7 p.m. by donation. Several varieties of chili, cornbread or biscuits, dessert and drinks will be available. All proceeds will benefit the auxiliary, which supports the fire department and fire prevention education.

The Alden District Library is showcasing the pottery collection by David Peterson, along with his collection of pieces from Otis Pottery, Judith Duff Pottery and Three Rivers Pottery starting on Thursday, Nov. 4 through Monday, Nov. 29.
