Kalkaska Conservation District will be holding an Upper Manistee River Clean Up on Thursday, Sept. 15 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the M 72 Bridge launch. Volunteers are needed. Bring water shoes, a hat and your own watercraft. For more details and RSVP go to www.kalkaskaconservation.org.
In concert with Patriots Day, Central Lake/Ellsworth Football’s Appreciation Game and Tailgate event welcomes all Veterans and First Responders on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Herrick Football Field. All Veterans and first responders will receive recognition from the crowd in attendance and receive thanks individually from players and coaches.
