DKG Phi Chapter will host its annual fundraiser on Monday, Oct. 7 from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at North Ed Conference Center, 1101 Red Drive in Traverse City. Proceeds are used for educator grants in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties to help in educating their students. There is no charge and refreshments will be provided. =The 2024 Fall Closet to Closet will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Forest Home Township Hall, 321 Bridge Street in Bellaire. This event is sponsored by Church in the Hills and provides free gently used clothing in all sizes for children and adults. There are no income restrictions. Any community member is welcome to attend and take what they need.
The Order of the Eastern Stars of Bellaire is having a fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 5 in downtown Bellaire at the Fall Festival. We are selling fall bulbs and bags of pecans and cashews. This fundraiser will let the Stars continue to help our community,
The Bellaire Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Fall Flannel Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Bellaire on Broad Street. The event includes pumpkin painting at the Bellaire Library; kids’ scavenger hunt start at the chamber tent; a family fun run sponsored by Inspire Health Chiropractic with registration starting at 9 a.m.
