On Saturday, Dec. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. join Grass River Natural Area for a magical evening as we light up the bridges of our boardwalk with colorful lights and lanterns for one night only. Enjoy a ¼ mile winter stroll around our boardwalk with the bridges lit up with lights and then warm up with a campfire and hot cocoa at the pavilion. Inside the center we will have a variety of crafts to make. You can come any time during this two hour open house style event and walk the self guided trail. Snowshoes will be available for rent if there is deep snow. Cost is $5.

On Saturday, Dec. 15 Light Up Mancelona will begin with a Pancake Breakfast with Santa at Mancelona High School from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Following the breakfast kids are invited to Antrim Outfitters in downtown Mancelona where Cheer Team volunteers and Santa will be offering more crafting opportunities from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday evening kicks off at 5 p.m. in downtown Triangle Park when Santa arrives by fire truck to assist with the village’s tree lighting before greeting children inside the Silver Screen Salon.
