Community Fishing Event at Johnson’s Pond

The Village of Mancelona invites everyone to a morning of fishing at Johnson’s Pond, Saturday, April 26 from 9-11 a.m. This event is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels, and we warmly welcome your participation.
Please bring your own fishing rod, bait, and a bucket for your catch. Hot dogs and beverages will be served.

We look forward to your presence at this enjoyable community gathering.

Short’s Anniversary Party

Short’s Brewing will be celebrating 21 years in business with an anniversary party on Saturday, April 26 at its pub in downtown Bellaire. Christian Coffee House Concert

On Saturday, April 19 the Christian Coffee House will be having a concert at 7 p.m. at 951 Mill Street in East Jordan. Performing for the evening will be Dave Dickerson. Everyone is invited to attend.
 

Trees & Aromatherapy Presentation at the ACD

Take a short hike at the Cedar River Natural Area and learn about trees that are beneficial to your health with executive director, Melissa Zelenak on Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Antrim Conservation District, 4820 Stover Road in Bellaire. Donation is $10 to help cover the cost as each participant will go home with essential oils and take home materials. Please RSVP to acdec@macd.org.

He will be the guest speaker at HERTH on Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m. at 401 River Street in Elk Rapids. The community is cordially invited. No tickets are required. Day of Giving

Please join us on Saturday, April 19 in front of the courthouse in Bellaire from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Day of Giving and fellowship. The Antrim Action team is working with the people of our community to gather funds and support for the people of the counties impacted by the ice storm of 2025. We will have contact and needs information available if you have the means to help the victims of the ice storm.
 

Student Art Scholarship Applications

Due to recent power outages and school closures in Antrim and Charlevoix Counties, the Jordan River Arts Council (JRAC) is extending its application deadline for the high school scholarship competition and exhibition/ Students will exhibit three to five works of art in any medium. Applications are due by Thursday, April 17 and may be submitted online by mail, or in-person at JRAC. See “Calls to Artists” at www.jordanriverarts.com.
