Bellaire Eagles Brooklyn Fischer (2) bumps the ball to Onaway Cardinals in a game on Thursday, Sept. 24. The Lady Eagles won in three sets.

The Bellaire High School varsity volleyball team continues to shine this season. The lady Eagles beat two more league opponents last week, winning straight set victories at East Jordan on Tuesday and at home Thursday over Onaway. Bellaire is now 4-0 in the Ski Valley Conference and 15-1-1 overall.

The Eagles have won 35 of 39 sets this season (90%), and have the third best MPR rating in all of D4 in the MHSAA, with a .615 mark. One would think that the Michigan Volleyball Coaches Association (MIVCA) would give Bellaire some love and recognize them in their D4 poll soon.
