Bellaire football falls to St. Mary

The Bellaire High School varsity football team ran into a juggernaut last Friday evening at the Bellaire football field. The Gaylord St. Mary, ranked #3 in the D2 8-Man sportswriters’ poll which came out last week, scored on their first seven possessions in route to a 47-0 lead at halftime and then the Snowbirds coasted in the second half to a 60-0 victory.

St. Mary led 21-0 after the first quarter and 47-0 at intermission as they racked up 309 yards by halftime. Bellaire did have a few bright spots, as their young team, without their starting quarterback, (injured Aiden Balko), fought hard against the deep and talented Snowbirds.
