Front Porch Ministries closing in on goal

ELLSWORTH – Front Porch Ministries has raised $23,000 in private donations this summer, bringing them closer to their $30,000 goal for building improvements.

Front Porch Ministries is a “pay-as-you-can” restaurant in Ellsworth that serves breakfast and lunch five days a week on a donation basis. It opened in 2008 in an effort to keep a community and meeting space available after the local eatery had closed. Now 18 years later, the restaurant can see 170 customers a day in the summer.
