Kalkaska wins season opener at home

The Kalkaska varsity football team opened its season with a win against the visiting Lake City Trojans, 50-35, last Thursday.
“Very happy to get a win,” said Kalkaska coach Darren Conklin. “We played very well at times, especially on offense. We took good care of the ball and put up six offensive scores, so that was great.”
With 10:29 on the clock in the first quarter, the Blazers got on the board first after Nolan Seidelman punched in a short touchdown. Jack Ingersoll scored the two-point conversion to put the Blazers up 8-0.
